Minimum Qualification

Candidates must have at least 16 years of education. This means applicants should have completed a BS (4-year degree) or a Master’s degree in a teaching-related subject with at least 45% marks.

It is important to note that BA or BSc (14 years of education) is not eligible. Degrees from fields like DPT, MBBS, or BDS are also not considered for these teaching posts.

Age Limit

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 30 years.

The actual basic age range is 18 to 25 years, but the government provides 5 years of general age relaxation, which makes the maximum age 30 years. Additional age relaxation may apply to certain categories according to government rules.

Place of Posting

Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Pakistan. However, authorities usually try to place teachers near their district or nearby areas if positions are available.

Selection Process

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test. The test will be conducted in major cities including:

  • Peshawar
  • Rawalpindi
  • Lahore
  • Multan
  • Karachi
  • Quetta

Candidates who pass the written test will then be called for an interview. During the interview, applicants must bring their original academic documents.

No TA/DA (travel allowance) will be provided for the test or interview.

Test Syllabus

The written test will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the following subjects:

  • Pakistan Studies – 20%
  • General Mathematics – 20%
  • General Science – 20%
  • Pedagogy (Teaching Methods) – 20%

Application Process

The application process is completely online, and candidates do not need to send hard copies of documents.

Applicants must create an account on the FGEI job portal, fill in their personal and educational information, and select the Elementary School Teacher position.

Candidates must submit a test fee of Rs. 1250. The fee can be paid through:

After payment, candidates must upload the transaction proof, passport-size photograph, and CNIC front side image on the portal.
